Melbourne, Australia, 2006.06.06
Melbourne is situation at the south east corner of mainland
Australia. The only part of Australia further South is
Tasmania. The weather reminds me of England. Given its distance form the equator, and the winter
season, it was pretty cool in the mornings (4 degrees C), but was realativly comfortable in the afternoon sun (around 55F).
The flight out of Melbourne was delayed to ice on the wings of the
aircraft. They anounched over the aurport public address
system that, due to the extrodinarily cold tempteratures (4 degrees
C), ice had formed on the winds of several aircraft, and all flights
out of Melbourne were being delayed until it warmed up, and the ice
melted. My fkgith departed two hours late. No worries.
